Warmux - Free Worms like strategy game with open source mascots
Warmux is a free fun filled strategy game created in the style of the classic Worms series of games.
Wormux is played in a sequence of turns where each player picks a weapon and attempts to dispatch the opposing team using a variety of weapons such as grenades, dynamite and guns. Beware as each member of each team only has a certain time limit in order to launch their attack.
The cartoon style graphics make Wormux fun to play with a variety of teams based on various open source mascots like GIMP's Wilbur, Firefox's Fox and PHP's elephant.

WarMUX is out, at long last, in its first version, 11.01!
Although Warmux (previously known as Wormux) has been stable for a long time this is the first official version 1 release. There have been many changes for this release and has even been ported to Android devices.
Some of these changes include new maps and themes, an increase of the number of players to 8, improved help, improved graphics, better mini map and under-the-hood optimisations.
After a period of testing the official release of Wormux 0.8 is now available.
Wormux 0.8 features 15 new maps, 3 new weapons, graphical improvements and much code cleanup
