LinCity NG - Free SimCity™ style game
LinCity-NG is a free and open sourced SimCity™ style game. The idea is to build up and manage your own city which includes building residential areas as well as industrial and commercial areas for the people in your city to work.
Although heavily influenced by SimCity this is a really good time waster. LinCity-NG is actually an update of a dated game LinCity. The Linux Game Tome helped get this updated version together and as a result are some nicer graphics and improved playability.

A minor update for LinCity NG is available
LinCity NG 1.1.2, a minor release, is available
From the release notes: Coal reserves below buildings are now visible on mini map. The range of windmills and coal mines is shown while placing the building. This release fixes a bug in the solar power plant. It also includes some updated translations.
