Nexuiz is a multiplayer deathmatch first person shooter. Nexuiz was created using ID Software's Quake 1 engine which was released for free for developers.
Nexuiz is great for mindless shooting action with quite a large selection of weapone. Make sure you bring your quick reactions with this one or you won't last long.
Although Quake 1 is quite old now the programmers have managed to introduce some new features for modern graphics cards such as realtime lighting which produces some stunning graphical effects as well as good looking textures and some nice graphical touches.
After quite some time Nexuiz 2.5.2 has been released with some great updates and extras.
Nexuiz 2.5.2 has been in beta test for quite some time but now finally a finished release is available.

AlienTrap release the latest version 2.5 of Nexuiz first person shooter
AlienTrap have released version 2.5 of the highly popular Nexuiz, a first person shooter based on the the Darkplaced engine, enhanced Quake 1 technology.
According to the release announcement there are over 3000 changes. This has taken place over a year. New changes include graphical changes like the weapons, particles and HUD. The radiant map editor is now included. A new game type called 'Race' where the idea is to get from one side of a map to the other as fast as possible. There are also new weapons and enhanced bots.
New 2.1 Release of Nexuiz Available
A new release of Nexuiz, 2.1, has been released.
