OpenOffice 4 Kids a free office suite for children available for Windows, Linux and Mac OS X. The idea is to give children around the age 0f 7 - 12 years of age a simple to use Office Suite complete with a word processor, spreadsheet and presentation package as well as a drawing application.

OpenOffice 4 Kids is just the regular free office suite OpenOffice with a child friendly appearance and without a bewildering array of options.

As it is based on OpenOffice it comes with everything you would expect in an office suite which includes the word processor. spreadsheet, presentation pacakage and a drawing package. But the only pacakage missing is the database. Because of this it makes the program smaller than OpenOffice. All the graphics have been replaced with bold colourful icons and splash screens. But other than that the same features are there including exporting to PDF files.
