GAMBAS - Free visual basic application for KDE in Linux

Gambas is an excellent alternative to Visual Basic available for Linux. Complete with interpreter, compiler and development environment with a form designer.

By using GAMBAS you can quickly create excellent usable visual basic applications for use in the KDE environment.

If you are already familiar with Microsoft's Visual Basic tools then you should feel at home here. If you are looking at learning a progamming language then this may be a step in the right direction.

Be aware this is not a clone of Visual Studio but is where inspiration has come from.

If this is not included in your Linux distributions software management system, there are plenty of pre built binaries available for the most used such as Ubuntu and Fedora.
