RAWTherapee (The Experimental RAW Photo Editor) is a free graphics studio for processing RAW files typically found in digital SLR cameras.
RAWTherapee has some great features found in highend RAW processing pacakages from the likes of Adobe. A large selection of cameras are supported from the likes of Nikon, Canon, Pentax, Olympus and more. It has its own custom demosaicing algorithms, EAHD and HPHD. It can recover data in highlights and shadows. sharpening, chromatic aberration correction, lens distortion correction, colour noise removal, a great history tool so you can go back various steps and many more options. To date RAWTherapee is probably the easiest to use RAW processing software available.
RawTherapee V3 Alpha 1 has been released with a change to GPLV3 license.
The free cross platform RAW processing software, RawTherapee V3 Alpha 1, has been released for testing. This is a great release as it is has been released under the GPLV3 license.
Author, Gábor Horváth, has stated that releasing it under the GPL license means he can concentrate on what he likes best which is the image processing algorthims and hopefully leaving GUI design to the community
Although not feature complete, this release of RawTherapee introduces some nice new features such as a new multitab interface.

A new candidate release of RawTherapee V2.4 is now available
The RAWTherapee team have announced release candidate 2 of their great free RAW processing software.
As always with release candidates, this is a public preview of the final release to let testers find any critital bugs, so be warned if you plan on using it on your photos, or at least keep proper backups.
A release candidate for the up and coming 2.4 version of RawTherapee is available
A new candidate release for version 2.4 of RawTherapee has been released. This new version seems to be mostly about bug fixes although there are a few new features such as better suppored import and export of exif data.
