MakeHuman is a professional and free 3D character modeling toolkit similar to the popular program Poser . Within a few minutes you can create your own humanoid character which can be exported or rendered using other tools such as Blender or Aqsis.
MakeHuman features it's own easy to use modeling tool called the tetrawidget. By using just a few buttons it is possible to create around 90% of human characteristics. It is intelligent enough to recognise gender and age and adjust accordingly. For example fat levels can be added or removed for a typical characteristic of a human at a certain age, male or female.
Using MakeHuman's Natural Pose System, muscles and tendons are also accurately modeled from algorithms stored in a database. This system allows for much more realistic poses.
