Lotus Symphony Information
Lotus Symphony News
Lotus Symphony is a free office suite from IBM. Lotus Symphony uses the OpenDocument standard for storing data. This means data is not held in a propriety format such as Microsoft's Word or Excel format. In theory this means in the future your documents will be readable by other software even if Lotus Symphony were to disappear.
Lotus Symphony is made up of three products; Lotus Symphony Documents, Lotus Symphony Spreadsheets and Lotus Symphony Presentations. This is enough for a small business or home user to get going with.
Lotus Symphony is capable of opening many file formats including Microsoft's Word files and can also export to Adobe PDF format.
Lotus Symphony is available on Windows and Linux with Apple Maintosh versions coming soon,
